Not a good way to get a "Colon Cleansin'"

Check out this headline!

  • Drain Sucks out Girl's Intestines

  • Not a good situation in any circle! Makes you want to cross your legs. Also makes you wonder what in the heck the girl was doing sitting on a freaking drain at the bottom of the pool! And for long enough to suck out her intestines????? Parents-hello??? Watch the child in the pool!!!!

I will have to email instructions to you; the comment master thinks I'm trying to leave a link here, so it won't print the symbols in html you need

What a tragic story. This is almost an exact repeat of a similar tragedy that happened years ago when John Edwards was practicing law. There are times when lawsuits are ABSOLUTELY appropriate, and this is one of them. Obviously, pool/filter companies did not learn their lesson with the first lawsuit and chose not to correct this problem. Now we have another child whose life is ruined.
I have gotten my leg up next to my bathtub jacuzzi intake, and actually had to turn it off to remove my leg. I can imagine how strong a full size pool filter is.
My heart aches for this family.

I remember hearing about the other little girl too. I can't believe that this type of drain has been allowed to go on being made after the first case!

This current story said it was a wading pool, so it probably wouldn't have looked strange for her to be sitting down in it, and the suction is so strong that I doubt it took long for the damage to be done.

I hope someone notifies the parents about the lawsuit, because they should file one too - apparently that's what it will take for the manufacturers to show some responsibility and fix the drain. And I remember from the first little girl that it's a very inexpensive repair to make, too.

    What a terrible thing.
